About TAYLOR
Taylor Horton, LPC-Associate (TX), LAC (AR), is an ASAT Candidate supervised by Travis Moore, LPC-S (TX) and Kendyl Hovis (AR). He specializes in working with high-conflict couples and individuals navigating compulsive sexual behaviors. He sees clients exclusively through virtual sessions, making counseling accessible and convenient no matter where life takes them.
Taylor's diverse background includes earning a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M–Commerce and a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor Law School, equipping him with a unique perspective on conflict, decision-making, and the complexities of high-stakes relational dynamics.
WHY VIRTUAL COUNSELING?
Virtual sessions provide flexibility and accessibility for today's busy world. Many clients find that meeting online helps reduce barriers such as travel time, childcare needs, and scheduling conflicts. Couples can even join sessions from separate locations, making it easier to prioritize their relationship no matter where life takes them. With privacy and comfort in their own environment, clients often feel more at ease, allowing them to open up and engage fully in the counseling process — something especially valuable when working through conflict or sensitive sexual concerns.
AREAS OF FOCUS
High-Conflict Couples
Taylor works closely with couples caught in recurring cycles of conflict, disconnection, or escalation. He helps partners understand the patterns driving their conflict, rebuild communication that has broken down, and move from reactivity toward repair.
Compulsive Sexual Behaviors
As an ASAT Candidate, Taylor works with individuals struggling with compulsive or out-of-control sexual behavior, including problematic pornography use, serial infidelity, repeated high-risk sex, and other patterns that create shame, secrecy, financial stress, or relational harm. He also supports betrayed partners in the aftermath of disclosure and betrayal trauma, helping couples navigate disclosure, rebuild trust, and determine a path forward together.
Taylor also works with individuals, couples, and families across a broader range of concerns, including:
Infidelity & Relationship Repair
Anxiety & Depression
Trauma & Post-Traumatic Growth
Substance Misuse & Recovery
Marriage & Family Dynamics
Existential Concerns & Identity Exploration
Grief & Loss
Career Transitions & Professional Burnout
"Failure to Launch" in Young Adults
A SAFE SPACE FOR GROWTH & EMPOWERMENT
In every client relationship, Taylor is dedicated to creating a supportive, safe, and nonjudgmental environment—one that fosters deep self-exploration and lasting change, even around the most difficult material. While offering compassionate support, he also challenges clients to confront difficult aspects of their lives, take ownership of their choices, and cultivate a meaningful sense of purpose and control.
TAKE THE FIRST STEP TOWARD CHANGE
Taylor believes that healing begins with courage and self-reflection. Whether you're a couple caught in painful conflict or an individual working to break free from compulsive patterns, he's here to help you navigate it—all from the comfort of your own space through virtual counseling sessions.
