About kaci

Kaci is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She is working towards attaining her hours for full licensure in Texas. Kaci earned her Master of Science degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University, where she received training in Activity Therapy, Adolescent Therapy, and Group Therapy. Her clinical experiences include working with children, adolescents, adults, and groups dealing with various mental health concerns at SMU’s Center for Family Counseling in Plano as well as at a private practice in Dallas.  

In her work with each client, Kaci emphasizes building a therapeutic relationship characterized by collaboration, openness, and trust. She views her role as walking alongside clients as they explore their feelings, develop adaptive behaviors and cognitions, recognize their strengths, and establish goals to resolve their problems. She utilizes cognitive behavioral theory and therapeutic activities to assist clients in realizing effective ways of coping with life. Her passion lies in working with children, adolescents, and young adults who are navigating challenges of anxiety, depression, grief, self-doubt, life transitions and stressors, and relationships. 

In her spare time, Kaci enjoys cooking, listening to podcasts, playing with her dog Charlie, and running.
